Maurice Pillard Verneuil’s Cigales et anémones, bordure de napperon. Aras et platane, fonte comes from the Art Nouveau publication L’Animal dans la Décoration (1897). The plate pairs a linear border of cicadas and anemones with a bold, symmetrical composition of macaws set among stylized plane-tree foliage. The restrained black, ivory, and muted brown palette emphasizes the strong outlines and repeating forms, giving the design a graphic, almost architectural quality.
Each Endicott & Co. print is carefully prepared from historical source material, with the character and detail of the original preserved in the restoration. The artwork is thoughtfully proportioned and offered in standard frame sizes for straightforward display.
Materials: Solid pinewood frame with a matte black finish and shatter-resistant plexiglass. Archival matte fine art paper, 310 gsm. Finished with a protective backing, pre-installed hanging hardware, and discreet rubber bumpers to protect the wall and keep the piece level.
