Maurice Pillard Verneuil’s Aigles et chêne, papier peint. Antilopes, tigres, cactus et palmiers, bordure comes from L’Animal dans la Décoration (1897). The plate combines a repeating wallpaper design of eagles set against oak foliage with a lower border of antelopes, tigers, palms, and cactus forms. Warm orange and ochre tones contrast with soft greens and deep blue, creating a bold layered composition built from repeated animal and botanical motifs.
Each Endicott & Co. print is carefully prepared from historical source material, with the character and detail of the original preserved in the restoration. The artwork is thoughtfully proportioned and offered in standard frame sizes for straightforward display.
