Priscilla Susan Bury’s Lilium tigrinum comes from A Selection of Hexandrian Plants, Belonging to the Natural Orders Amaryllidæ and Liliacæ (1831–1834). The plate presents vivid orange tiger lilies rising from an ornate dark urn, surrounded by butterflies and moths against an open ground. The contrast between the curling petals, richly patterned insects, and formal vessel gives the composition a distinctive balance of botanical study and decorative structure.
Each Endicott & Co. print is carefully prepared from historical source material, with the character and detail of the original preserved in the restoration. The artwork is thoughtfully proportioned and offered in standard frame sizes for straightforward display.
